Low GI Chocolate Cake for diabetics

You stare at the chocolate cake, your mouth watering, whispering voices begging for “just one bite.”

But one bite then leads to two.

Then three.

Then half the cake disappears, along with your willpower.

Soon after, your blood sugar spikes.

Your body shakes.

And guilt crashes over you like a wave…

As your mind shrieks “Why can’t I stop eating?”

I know that chain of events only too well.

The struggle between your sweet tooth and your health.

3 sugar free desserts

For years, I struggled with overwhelming sugar cravings

Until I discovered something that changed everything.

Something that’s allowed me to enjoy delicious desserts whenever I wanted, while helping to keep my blood sugar in check.

Hello, my name is Glenda Thompson.

I’ve always had a sweet tooth.

I used to happily gobble down biscuits, chocolate cake, and sweet tasting pies whenever they were offered.

But I had ZERO clue my sugar cravings were to blame for my blood sugar issues…

Along with my exhaustion,  brain fog, and stubborn weight gain.

Eventually, I reached a point where I faced a choice:

Give up desserts altogether or find a way to satisfy my sweet tooth in a healthy way.

So I started baking my own sugar free desserts.

But no matter which recipes I tried, I always faced the same problems:

X Artificial Sweeteners: While promoted as healthier than sugar, I was shocked to discover common artificial sweeteners can wreck gut health, cause weight gain, and even raise your blood pressure.(1)

X Digestion Problems: Sugar alcohols, like xylitol or sorbitol, gave me intense bloating, gas, and diarrhea.(2)

X Aftertaste or lack of flavor: The artificial sweeteners I used gave my desserts a bitter aftertaste. While not using them at all resulted in desserts that tasted as delicious as cardboard.

X Complicated Recipes: Many of the sugar-free recipes I tried involved unusual ingredients and complex baking techniques that were impossible for a kitchen klutz like me to follow.

X Overly Processed: With the fiber removed, I discovered that highly processed ingredients, like white flour, risk spiking your blood sugar and making you feel like garbage soon after dessert.(3)

X Inconsistent Results: The sugar substitutes I tried just lead to uneven rising, poor browning, and desserts that didn’t set properly and turned out dry, crumbly, or overly dense.

So after trying all sorts of sugar free recipes, and being disappointed with the results…

I set about crafting dessert recipes of my own.

Recipes baked with what I call my “Secret Sweets” technique.

My “Secret Sweets” technique allows you to enjoy delicious desserts without a single grain of sugar, artificial sweetener, or other blood sugar spikers

With my “Secret Sweets” baking technique, you can enjoy tasty desserts that are:

✓ Low carb

✓ Gluten free

✓ Diabetic friendly

✓ Help you lose weight

✓ Better for your digestion

✓ Nutritious and healthy

Why do I call it my “Secret Sweets” technique?

Because rather than use artifical sweeteners, sugar alcohols, and other sugar substitutes that carry health risks of their own…

I bake desserts with NATURAL sweeteners like these:

1. Maple Syrup

Maple syrup offers a lusciously sweet flavor yet keeps blood sugar stable.(4)

Maple syrup perfectly pares with oatmeal or yogurt. While for baking, maple syrup adds a light sweetness to muffins, cakes, and cookies.

monk fruit

2. Monk Fruit

Since the body doesn’t absorb it too fast, monk fruit helps avoid blood sugar spikes.(5)

This makes powdered monkfruit perfect for baking, sprinkling into smoothies, or combining with chocolate for a sweet treat without the guilt.

3. Allulose

Allulose is found in figs, raisins, and wheat. And it has ZERO effect on glucose or insulin, yet provides desserts with a smooth texture and minimal after taste.(6)

This makes Allulose a perfect sugar substitute for delicious, taste bud delighting desserts.

“Different” yet still delightfully sweet

Let’s be real – monk fruit doesn’t taste exactly the same as sugar.

Neither does allulose or maple syrup.

So I won’t insult your intelligence by suggesting that chocolate cake baked with natural sweetener tastes EXACTLY like the refined sugar version.

It doesn’t

It tastes a little different.

Amd sugar-free baking requires accepting some differences.

Your cookies might be a little less chewy.

Your cakes could have a slightly different texture.

But here’s what matters:

The desserts will STILL satisfy your craving for sweetness.

They will STILL give you that moment of pure joy when you bite into a juicy muffin.

The feeling of comfort from munching on chocolate brownies will be the same.

You’ll get the same rush of pleasure when you dig into a thick slice of carrot cake.

So no, my sugar free desserts aren’t identical to full sugar versions.

They’re different.

Yet you can soon discover how different can still taste deliciously sweet.

Particularly as…

My “Secret Sweets” ingredients also include almond flour, cinnamon, vanilla, and cacao

With these ingredients I’ve created recipes for sugar free desserts like…

Banana & almond muffins…

Ferrero rocher chocolate…

And lemon and berry cheesecake.

Every recipe tastes delicious and satsifying yet helps keep your blood sugar in check.

And I’ve collected 50 of them together to share with you, and anyone who’d love to enjoy dessert guilt free whenever they want.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the recipes diabetic friendly?

Yes, these recipes are specially crafted to eliminate all types of processed sugar, artificial sweeteners, and refined flour. Instead, they contain natural sugars, like monk fruit, which are far less likely to spike your blood sugar, cause gut problems, or unwanted inflammation.

Plus, the recipes incorporate high fiber ingredients that help slow digestion, and provide a steady release of energy while calming sugar cravings.

What makes this superior to the sugar free cookbooks on Amazon?

Before crafting my own recipes I spent a fortune on sugar free recipe books. But time and again I found is that, while most claimed to be sugar free, they included artificial sweeteners like splenda, sucralose, and aspartame, as well as sugar alcohols, like xylitol.

Recent research shows that, rather than healthy, artificial sweeteners carry health risks of their own. This includes damaging gut health, tricking the body into thinking it’s eating sugar and raising blood sugar levels, and they can even affect heart health.

What’s more, most sugar free dessert cookbooks use white flour, which can also spike glucose levels even if a recipe claims to be sugar free.

Whereas the recipes in my “50 Sugar Free Desserts” cookbook don’t contain any artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, or white flour.

Instead, my recipes use only natural sweeteners, like monk fruit, and almond flour, which are far healthier for your blood sugar, weight, and all round health.

What sweeteners are used?

The recipes use monk fruit which provides a naturally sweet taste while being low on the glycemic index, while also being low in calories  carbs.

However, I’ve included a list of alternative natural sweeteners you can instead and how much to use in replacement of monk fruit.

Are the recipes gluten free?

Yes, they are.

Desserts baked with natural sweeteners like monk fruit and almond flour are far lower in gluten than those made with refined flour and refined sugar.

Almond flour is naturally gluten-free, as it is made from ground almonds, which do not contain gluten.

While natural sweeteners, like monk fruit, do not contain gluten. So the recipes are suitable for anyone with gluten sensitivities or following a gluten-free diet.

Do I get a digital copy of the cookbook?

Yes, if you buy the printed version you also get the downloadable eBook version included. This gives you access to all 50 recipes on your phone or tablet, and close to hand when baking.

Can I find all the ingredients in my local supermarket?

The dessert recipes all use common ingredients like almond flour, coconut oil, cocoa powder, fresh berries that you’ll find at any major supermarket. Anything you can’t find locally you can easily order online.

When will my printed cookbook arrive?

Your printed cookbook will be delivered within 5 business days or less once shipped. So if you order today you can be enjoying sugar free desserts in less than a week!

When your cookbook has been printed and out for delivery, you will receive an email with UPS tracking information so you can track exactly when it will arrive.

How hard are the desserts to make?

The recipes are deliberately designed to be as easy as possible to follow. My cookbook company is called ‘Healthy Foods Made Easy’, after all!

Most have less than 10 steps explained with clear, easy to follow instructions. They’re totally beginner friendly, and so simple even my 12 year old nephew can bake them.

What if I don’t like the recipes. Can I get my money back?

Yes, absolutely. If you don’t love every recipe, or just change your mind and want your money back, just reply to any of my emails within 180 days.

The reason I offer such a generous guarantee is because I have faith in people – I believe most people are honest.

And by making it as easy as possible for you to get a refund I hope to encourage you to give my “50 Sugar Free Desserts” cookbook a try.

Why is your refund policy so generous?

If you’re dissatisfied with any of my cookbooks, you have the option of contacting your credit card company and asking for a chargeback (where you reverse the transaction).

While if I were to ask you to mail the cookbook back, I’d be charged a restocking fee.

So it makes sense, for both you and for me, that I make it as easy as possible for you to get a refund.

All you need to do is reply to any of my emails, or send a message on the Contact page on my website, and I’ll refund your order within 24 hours.

Most of the people who buy my cookbooks are honest people. And the number of refund requests I receive is low. Which is why I’m able to offer such a generous refund policy.

I also believe my cookbook is something you will treasure, as it can help you improve your blood sugar and health, while still getting to enjoy delicious dessserts.

So I want to get it into the hands of as many people as possible.
